Truffles North Carolina (TNC)
is the sister company representing Keep Your Fork Farm in the sale of the Black Perigord Truffles harvested there and truffle
butter. TNC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Keep Your Fork, LLC.
Owner and manager Jane Morgan Smith, President of North American
Truffle Growers Association (NATGA) www.trufflegrowers.com is the truffle-lover who handles sales, trains the truffle-hunting dogs, hunts truffles with them and does all the marketing
and customer service. It's a one stop shop for fresh (in season) and frozen truffles as well as truffle butter in Stokes
County, NC. The truffle butter is made from our truffles combined with butter from Ashe County (www.ashecountycheese.com). It sells for $6.00 per 1.5 oz. jar plus shipping & handling with payments accepted through PayPal, cash or check
on-site during your visit or on-line. Truffle
Butter (and truffles, in season) is available at Sweet Pea's and at Reynolda Farm Market in Winston-Salem, NC.
The beaded truffle
featured here is one of Jane's creations which was on display at the National Truffle Festival March 5-8, 2009, Asheville, NC. (www.nationaltrufflefest.com). We'll be there as sponsors again in 2010. The dates are February 25-28.
One
of TNC's best customers is Chef Leigh Hesling at Green Valley Grill in Greensboro, NC (www.greenvalleygrill.com). Be sure to order truffles there even if you don't see them on the menu that day!
